Snozone have full accreditation and expertise to assess capability.

Students no longer need to go abroad at great expense to attain their assessments as we can provide this to superior standards here at our venues in Milton Keynes and Yorkshire Snozone provides in-depth feedback, written notes befitting the exam body’s criteria and a video of the student’s progress.

Our expert coaches:

  • Engage students, explain what they will learn/achieve in a private setting
  • Will explain and guide students through the health and safety guidelines for the activity and venue
  • Encourage creative thinking for the student to overcome the challenge, rather than 'telling'
  • Supply encouragement and praise to boost self-confidence, they don’t criticise!
  • Ask the student which skills they achieved, encouraging self-determination and further learning
  • Debrief the parent/guardian or teacher on what the student achieved, with recommendations on next steps.

For students aged 14-24, the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award is open to everyone irrespective of their ability.

Additionally, Snozone Disability Snowsports has been specifically designed to ensure we can offer inclusive Snowsports to all regardless of their physical disability or cognitive or sensory impairment. Snozone are an accredited centre for the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Bronze Award Scheme. Duke of Edinburgh students are required to demonstrate personal progress and achievements against a selected skill- in this case- competence in skiing or snowboarding.

Snozone supports those in the scheme to Learn, Improve, Develop and Practice in their chosen snow sport.  Assessment on progress is undertaken by Snozone Coaches via a record of achievement card and the assessment will run over thirteen weeks, with a minimum attendance requirement of two hours per week.  This activity is available for both skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels.
